The Execution tab answers: “Am I following my own rules?” This is TradeAlign’s differentiator. It pulls from the alignment toggles, mistake tags, and Align Score data you capture when journaling each trade.

Align Score Trend

A line chart showing your average daily Align Score over time.
  • X-axis: Dates. Y-axis: 0–10
  • Each data point shows the date, score, and trade count on hover
  • Only includes trades you’ve rated (unrated trades are excluded)
What to look for: A rising trend means your discipline is improving. Dips often correlate with emotional trading days — cross-reference with the Mindset tab.

Alignment Breakdown

Aggregated compliance across all journaled trades for each of the five alignment toggles:
ToggleWhat it measures
Followed planDid you stick to your trading plan?
Emotionally centeredWere you in a good headspace before entering?
Trade matched playbookDid the setup match one of your defined strategies?
Followed risk managementDid you honor your stop loss and position sizing?
Would take againIn hindsight, was this a trade worth taking?
Each card shows:
  • Compliance percentage and ratio (e.g., “81.8% — 18/22”)
  • A progress bar colored green (≥ 80%), amber (≥ 60%), or red (< 60%)
The “Would take again” toggle is especially revealing. If you frequently answer “no,” it suggests you’re taking trades you know don’t meet your criteria — a pattern worth investigating.

Mistake Frequency

A horizontal bar chart ranking your most common mistake tags by frequency.
  • Shows up to 8 mistakes, sorted by count
  • Each bar displays the mistake name, count, and percentage of trades affected
  • Only includes trades where you tagged at least one mistake (excluding “None”)
What to look for: Your top 1–2 mistakes are where the biggest gains in discipline will come from. Focus on eliminating your most frequent mistake before worrying about the rest.

Execution Rating Distribution

A bar chart showing how you rate your own execution across trades.
  • X-axis: 1 Star through 5 Stars
  • Y-axis: Number of trades at each rating
  • Each bar is color-coded from red (1 star) to green (5 stars)
This shows whether you’re generally satisfied with your execution or consistently self-critical — both patterns worth understanding.

Align Score vs P&L

The “proof that process works” chart. This shows the correlation between your Align Score and trade outcomes.

Summary Cards

Two side-by-side comparison cards:
  • Aligned trades (score ≥ 7): Average P&L and trade count
  • Misaligned trades (score < 7): Average P&L and trade count
If aligned trades average positive P&L and misaligned trades average negative P&L, the system is working — discipline predicts outcomes.

Scatter Plot

Below the cards, a scatter plot shows every rated trade:
  • X-axis: Align Score (0–10). Y-axis: P&L ($)
  • Green dots = winning trades. Red dots = losing trades
  • Hover for the symbol, exact score, and P&L

Performance by Strategy

A horizontal bar chart showing total P&L per playbook or setup.
  • Green bars for profitable strategies, red for unprofitable
  • Best and worst strategy badges at the top
  • Hover for trade count and detail
This belongs in Execution because it answers “which setups am I actually executing well?” — an execution question, not just a financial one. Cross-reference with your playbooks to see if poor strategy performance correlates with low alignment.
All Execution tab components require journaled trades — trades where you’ve completed the alignment toggles, rating, and/or mistake tags. The more consistently you journal, the more useful this tab becomes.
